Is there a bar in town that allows smoking any more? Maybe on a patio?

It's state law you can't smoke in the bars any more. There are some places that have set up places outside so you can. Although if you quit you could put that money to a vacation fund instead doctor's bills.(Sorry couldn't help it.)

Agree with bh. Call the Montana Quit Line at 1-800-QUITNOW.

Take a trip to the rez and smoke away. State laws don't apply.

So much for finding out if there are any "friendly" taverns with patios.

If such "friendly" taverns with patios existed in MC, or indeed, anywhere in the state, they eventually would be busted by the state for violation of state code.

As someone who frequents taverns a lot, and chats with a lot of bartenders, I know that these places are highly regulated, with little room for operator error.

The only patios that I know of are: Spur, Club Royale Casino, and Cellar Casino. You can drink on each of them.

Sorry I was a dick Mr. Emilsson. Truly, though, nothing finer than the freedoms granted by the confederacy, especially when you hear it in the local dialect. "Hell yeah, this is a rez bar."

Aren't the majority of reservations " dry" in Montana?

There is a friendly tavern in town, the Yellowstone Tavern on Valley Dr., the only serve beer (a variety, including draft, bottle and cans) and good food, no liquor, and they do have a patio for smoking out back. It is even family friendly, pool tables, arcade type games for kids, lots of fun all are welcome there.

My question to the first poster on this topic:

why did you title this thread "sex on the beach", and what does that have to do with whether one can smoke in a bar or not?

I don't see how the 2 are connected. Just sayin.

Good point on the title I agree with the Tavern. Great food (best chicken in town), be prepared to reek like the place! Very family friendly, our little one loves to play video golf. Be prepared to get beat by a 5 year old!!!
