/looking down and kicking the dirt/

I don't s'pose anyone might have photos of the newly painted water tower? Eric's webcam is giving me tantalizing hints of it - so now my curiosity is really piqued!

(One could also add such photos to the Miles City Flickr group too... if they were so inclined?) /hint hint/

Just passed through thru M/C last week, and observed the new water tower. After reading some of the threads on this web, it seemes that having wealth or being a big bad corperation is bad. Maybe the best paint job for the new water tower should be painted black with a white circle and inside that should be the number eight. Seems very fitting to me. Of course this is only a personal opinion. This ought to cause a real storm among the locals that depend on the federal nipple for there survival.

An eight-ball water tower? I'm not sure that will make the locals feeding on the federal nipple angry, just promise you won't tell them it's those eastern liberals putting the cheese on their sandwiches.

I think it should be Homer's face with the bald top as his head!

If the supporting shackles of regulostragulation where removed, that water tower would float proudly above Miles City, a beacon of freedom and and and oh forget it.

Bridgier, that is just outstanding! I'm sitting in my office laughing right now.

Truly inspired, Bridgier.

But given its proximity to Denton Field, shouldn't have been constructed out of wood? I mean, that's the way water towers were originally built.

The Miles City pool on FLICKR now has a few photos of the freshly painted new water tower.

Er, at least I added them to the Miles City pool but I guess they aren't showing up in the pool yet.

You can see them here, I think:

David, they're showing up just marvelously on the MC Flickr group!

Thanks so much to you (and all the others who contribute to the Flickr group)... it's a real treasure-trove of excellent photos.

Thanks again - they look great!

Glad you enjoyed the photos. My brother, Don, gets credit for taking the photos of the water tower.

I have also posted some photos of the construction of the new Pacific Street Bridge over the Tongue River. These photos are also courtesy of my brother, Don.

I've added six new photos to that set. The new photos were taken in early October. The new bridge is coming along.
