The annual Mariners Collapse was a little late this year.

And to think at one point they were only a half GB.

It's gonna be tough to win when you couldn't even hit water while falling out of a boat. Shocking lack of discipline at the plate. It's getting hard to watch. There is one guy that can hit that eyeball high fastball out of the park, and his name is Albert Pujols. Not Justin Smoak, or Franklin Gutierrez. I really like some of the young pieces, but Chone Figgins needs to go away. I pretty much don't care anymore if the M's have to take a bath on his salary. Bye bye. I don't have a problem with Chris Chambliss, the hitting coach, but evidently most of the team does. It's not right, but he will most likely be the next guy in line for the bus ticket out of town. When Fister throws 7 strong innings, maybe 3 hits, no walks, and 6 strike outs, every bat that didn't get at least one hit should write him a big check. The guy has the worst run support in the majors, by far, and his teammates owe him.
I could go on and on, but you get my point. I will keep watching, but it's gonna be actual work to watch this team finish this season.

I can now actually say I'm somewhat glad we don't have the games televised here any longer! I remember in '00 when Lou was still the skipper. We were playing the Indians and had like 14 runs to their 0. Lou started putting in whoever (fans from the stands!) and the tribe came back and won! OMG! I remember throwing candy at my TV. I'd hate to think I would have to do that nightly now. OH! And let's not forget Eric Bedard! What ailment/injury will it be this season? Suck it up! What a puss!

Me too, Matt. If you haven't already, check out Jeff Sullivan's Mariners blog on yahoo. He can be pretty funny - but puts things into perspective.
