Hi Everyone,
I know that there are some areas of milescity.com site which don't work yet, and I plan to address them as I find the time. But in any case, I was wondering if I could get some feedback.

What would you most like to see improved? Are there areas of the site that you particularily like? Do you want me to focus on getting more historical material online (photos, stories, etc.)? Or do you want more current material (events, news, etc.)? Any suggestions for improving the web forum software? Etc.

Let me know your thoughts!

Regards, Larry

Hello Larry,

After spending considerable time checking out mc.com I just want to let you know that this site is great. I would love to see a section devoted to pictures of the "old timers", the men and women that settled in and around MC in the early days.

Hi Darrell,
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your suggestions and will see what I can do.

I know there was a book created in 1971 called "Fanning the Embers" that has lots of old family history and pictures in it. (Although, I'm not sure how much material actually covers some of the original 1800's old timers.) Perhaps other similar books have been created as well. In any case, I can look up family names in what I have to see if they are included if anyone requests.

You also might be able to find a copy of some of the old books through your local library or perhaps (if you are lucky) find a copy for sale at some place like http://www.bookfinder.com. (I've occasionally been able find and purchase MC books there).

The Range Riders Museum also has a large number of old photographs and such. Last time I was there they had a section devoted to pictures of old timers that they had saved from Ranger Riders Bar before it was gutted. Of course that material isn't online, but if anyone from the Range Riders would like to see any of it online -- please feel free to contact me and I'll see if I can help.

Larry

Is there a possibility of expanding the search feature of this site to include the discussion forums?

Also, how about some updated statistics for the site. It would be interesting to see the top-poster to the site or maybe who has typed the most words. Just a thought.

Thank you for all you have done for this site

Thank you for a wonderful site. I'm sure it's taken more time than I could even fathom and I appreciate it greatly. I enjoy the pioneer history but would like to see more history from the 40's on up. Miles City was a booming city of over 12,000 at one time. Photos of places that are long gone or still here but altered beyond recognition would be a wonderful addition. Again, thank you.

I really like the site. I appreciate your efforts in hosting it. I too would like a little more search capability. And after the previous post perhaps a few more emotion-icons would be in order, like a yellow smiley-face with a brown nose.

My wife suggested some kind of "visit meter" where I was allowed to post say only 3 times a day.
