The Miles City Laundry building, the first building on the National Register in Miles City, is coming down. There are some serious structural issues with it but it is still sad. Over 100 years of clean clothes, gone.

So, let us all lift a glass in toast to a grand old building.

NP Depot is still in great shape and we are still trying to get it restored so let's keep that in mind.

It seem to me there is a money making opportunity here. Is there some way that say 500 bricks from this building could be saved and sold with the proceeds benefiting the Historical Preservation Office? Rather than simply disposing of them why not see if some cash can be raised. Is $100 per brick too much being from a building on the national historic register? Just a thought.

John Muggli promised Denise to save her some bricks. I know other folks in town are admiring them but they are very soft. And the mortar was dust. I am surprised that building was still standing!

why not lift a glass to the constitution amorette, it is going the way of the miles city laundry, and the constitution is much older.

I'm going off topic as usual, sorry. Something just reminded me that a new Miles City Star website is coming. I sure hope it has some class.

It would be nice if some of "aaron bruce"'s fellow travelers reigned him in on occasion wouldn't it? That would be classy.

I must admit, watching Backhoe Bob take down a building is like very slow ballet. Sad to see it go but that's life.

Now, on to saving the NP Depot!
