If you have ever seen a Sergio Leone western, if you have ever seen a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" movie, if you have seen a movie at all, you must see "Rango." It is unbelievably excellent. The animation is beyond animation. The acting is stunning. The storyline is perfect! It is a really, really good movie.

Seriously, I liked it a lot and would heartily recommend it to any film fan and anyone old enough to remember the heyday of western movies in particular.

Since it only costs us 50ยข, we go out on dates a lot! Well, $2.50, since I splurged on Junior Mints.

Saw this with my daughters recently. Liked it okay, though the eagle with the arrow through it's head was a bit much for me.

Fine for adults, not good for kids. Under 10, think seriously.

I did recommend it for those old enough to remember "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." Which cuts out most of the under 10 crowd. Yes, it is NOT a kids movie. Kids wouldn't get the jokes like all the scenes from other movies and there are some rather gross characters but for the older crowd, I can't recommend it enough.

It looks like an old Saturday morning serial Western, only animated. I'm looking forward to it!

The Clint Eastwood part with the golf cart was good.

The previews for this movie make it look like it is marketed for kids. What is the rating? Everyone that I have talked to that has seen it has said it is not a kids movie. The ads are all over the kids networks on tv. Of course kids are going to want to watch it.

It's PG but the real reason it isn't a "kids" movie, in spite of it being animated, is a whole lot of the humor comes from being familiar with the movies being spoofed. For older kids and those of a less sensitive nature, I think they would enjoy it but not get all the jokes. Sort of like "Chicken Run." Cute kids movie. Hysterical adult parody IF you were familiar with the films being parodied.

Remember, the evil Queen in Snow White scared the bejesus out of lots of our parents and grandparents. Just because it is animated doesn't mean it is completely bland.

Jake the Snake and the death of the banker might bother some younger kids so I would say I would take my 12-year-old niece but not the 8-year-old.

Saw it last night and LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I honestly wasn't planning to go to it and its questionable whether i would have rented it when it comes out, but a friend asked to go. SOOOO glad I did. ITS HYSTERICAL! Its the funniest movie I've seen in a long time

I would say that its definitely not a kids movie and would agree with others who said under 10 is probably not a good idea. There is a lot of adult humor that kids just won't understand. The animation blew me away! Its way beyond any other animated movies out there.

Least to say, i'll be purchasing this when it comes out. Its a must-see!!!

Took my 6 year old to see this movie... and she enjoyed it. So, I disagree that it is not really for the under 10 crowd.

Sure, some of the jokes were a bit over her head but there is enough kid-oriented comedy (mostly Rango himself) in it that she enjoyed it.

in my opinion its not the jokes that make it not a kids movie, its the imagery. Too much death, disparity, and dark characters for young kids.
also language i don't want my kids hearing. i know the language isn't "that" bad,(by today's standards).
