Nonsense. Every tax cut is a jobs bill. Cutting spending puts money back in the pockets of the rich. Then, you wait for the trickle down. The trickle down makes everyone so rich that they pay more taxes, even at the lower rate, and the deficit gets wiped out. Get ready for those good times. Unless, of course, those rich folks spend the money on something other than investments that produce jobs. In that case, we eat them.
{Smile indicates not really planning to eat rich people, just kidding, not calling for class warfare.}

Our state Lege is just following the trend. Dems tried to create a program to train unemployed veterans to be long haul truck drivers. It cost money. It got whacked by the Reps. Who call EVERY bill a 'jobs' bill, even when it is cutting health care programs for the poor.

Today they passed HB-24, Marketing Montana's Water Bill. I lived in Gt. Falls in the 60's and attended several meetings on how to preserve Montana's water for future generations. It is now 2011..and, they want to market it out of Montana??? I have written to our Rep. McChesney for an explanation as to what they are thingking due to his being one of the sponsors. Many are calling 406-444-3111 and asking the Governor to VETO it. Not sure how jobs would fit into this one.

I have heard from Rep. McChesney and before any action I would certainly check with him. You may or may not approve of the reasoning and, I feel that my imagination was more than it is. Sorry. Always good to make your own decisions:-)

Forgotten Millions... At first I thought maybe Krugman was talking about all those Stimulus jobs his brand of economics were supposed to bring us.

Yes, if only it had been tried, perhaps we'd know how well it would have worked.

Amen, Bridgier, if only the administration had listened to Krugman, we would all be better off IMO...

Good move contacting Rep. McChesney Jeri. I moderated a panel with him and Jeff Moore a few weeks ago and both of them struck me as reasonable guys that wanted to communicate with voters.
