I hope I answer all your questions. I don't know how many were sold last year. Yes, this is a state wide effort, however we all sell locally, too. If you buy a ticket from an athlete, we get $4 of the $5 of the ticket sale. We use those funds to send our team to the State games. Last year we sold 740 in this region. I don't know if that included those sold by sponsors and those sold by our athletes. I think it may be just those sold by our athletes. There are several corporate sponsors that have tickets available. Tire Rama and Murdochs are two that come to mind. While we appreciate their sponsorship, we hope are athletes can do the sale so we can get the money return for the ticket. All ticket money sold by the sponsors goes into the state pot, not local effort. The drawing is always at the closing ceremony of the state games, which will be May 13th, this year. While there is one grand prize there are several other prizes that would be great to win. Plus your ticket stub entitles you to a free single order of bread sticks from any Montana Pizza Hut. We are going to be selling at other places in Miles City through March and April. I will use Milescity.com as a way to announce those locations. Also, would be glad to come to you with a ticket, if you like.
One more thing. Our team will be hosting the Regional Special Olympic games in Miles City, April 28-29. If you want to see some amazing athletes do incredible things, I encourage you to attend.
