So, among all the last pseudo-scientific clap-trap or the old classics, which is YOUR favorite bit of scientific ignorance. Right now, I'm loving Bill O'Reilly claiming that since no one knows what causes tides, that is proof of god.

So, what is your Ignorance Of Choice?

Or how the Mason/Illuminati/New World Order are all working (again, for some reason presumably) to bring down the United States. They don't want anyone to know, but (for some reason) go to the trouble of constantly hiding cryptic references to their activities in popular movies and books in order to...um...well, they do it.

Colon cleansing - Thats hilarious! It's amazing what people will fall for if the spokesman looks like a doctor, even though every add says it's a "paid actor" portrayal. So I don't have to eat better, or exercise? All I have to do is clean my colon to lose "as much as" 25 lbs? That might be the funniest poop (no pun intended) I have ever heard.
Disclaimer - This post is in no way intended to offend any readers with clean colons.

What is this that penetrates your nervous system & has been linked to brain damage in 23 human and 100 animal studies? Fluoride!

If everyone knew the dangers of fluoride and had a choice, most would likely opt not to have it added to their water supply. Unfortunately, you don't have that choice. You're being medicated whether you want to or not if you live in a fluoridated area.

It's important to understand that fluoride is a drug and no other drug has ever been administered as a public health measure across the board in this manner. Once you put fluoride in the water, there is no way to control who gets it and how much, and if you suffer side effects, there's no recourse. Most don't even realize that their health problems are connected to fluoride toxicity.

Fluoride in water is not even regulated by the FDA -- even though it does regulate fluoride in toothpaste and other oral care products, which must bear warning labels about the danger of ingesting those products. Water fluoridation is an absolute violation of your freedom of choice-to take a drug or not, and a toxic one at that. Drugs with an attached fluoride can penetrate into sensitive tissues that used to be impenetrable

Dihydrogen Monoxide Warning

Ban Dihydrogen Monoxide!

The Invisible Killer

Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage.

Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance.

For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

Dihydrogen monoxide:

* is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid
rain
* contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
* may cause severe burns.
* contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
* accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
* may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
* has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Contamination Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions!

Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

* as an industrial solvent and coolant.
* in nuclear power plants.
* in the production of Styrofoam.
* as a fire retardant.
* in many forms of cruel animal research.
* in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
* as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

The Horror Must Be Stopped!

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research
facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

It's Not Too Late!

Act NOW to prevent further contamination. Find out more about this dangerous chemical. What you don't know can hurt you and others throughout the world.

I have found that if you are forced to intake Dihydrogen Monoxide, the best way to do it is freeze it, then shake it in an alcohol solution. This purifies it to a level fit for human consumption.

Diet soda fans who drink the beverages every day may be cutting down on calories, but they also might be boosting their risk of stroke, new research suggests.

"In our study, we saw a significant increased risk among those who drank diet soda daily and not regular soda," said Hannah Gardener, an epidemiologist at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, who was slated to present her research Wednesday at the International Stroke Conference 2011 in Los Angeles.

Stroke is the third leading cause of death, behind heart disease and cancer, in the United States. More than 137,000 people a year die from stroke, according to the American Stroke Association.

Previous research by others has found that those who drank more than one soft drink a day, whether regular or diet, were more likely than non-drinkers to have metabolic syndrome, a cluster of risk factors including high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides (blood fats), low levels of good cholesterol, high fasting blood sugar and large waists. Metabolic syndrome, in turn, raises the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease, experts agree.

Gardener and her colleagues evaluated the soda habits of 2,564 people enrolled in the large Northern Manhattan Study (NOMAS) to see if there was an association, if any, with stroke. The participants were 69 years of age, on average, and completed food questionnaires about the type of soda they drank and how often.

During the average nine-year follow-up, 559 vascular events occurred, including strokes caused by hemorrhage and those caused by clots, known as ischemic strokes.

The researchers controlled for such factors as age, gender, ethnicity, physical activity, calorie intake, smoking and alcohol drinking habits and still found that those who drank diet soda daily -- compared to those who drank no soda -- were 61 percent more likely to have a vascular event.

The researchers then controlled for the presence of metabolic syndrome, vascular disease in the limbs and heart disease history; the link still held, albeit at 48 percent.

"If our study is replicated," Gardener said, "it would suggest diet soda is not optimal."

Dihydrogen monoxide is a very important cleaning agent used in my business, in fact we use so much that we have it piped in from a local supplier. Experience has taught us to heat it slightly before use, this has become such a habit that the electricity used to do that has become a line item expense. Recently we discovered it can be a valuable tool for extinguishing small welding fires in the shop, but be sure to dry it up good before it gets tracked into the office.
We also buy a lot of it in its purest form, I like to keep plastic bottles of it chilled, it comes in handy when we're on location, working hard in the hot sun.
It's pretty magic stuff. You just have to be careful with it sometimes.

I remember when I was a little kid and I got in trouble for going outside and playing in the dirt and sand till I was filthy. My parents punished me by standing me on the back steps and dousing me with dihydrogen monoxide. I was six years old... it was terrible - TERRIBLE!

No, I don't think Cheryl gets the idea, either.

Surely I'll get screamed at but the disposal of this chemical can be such a pain. I have to go with the easiest and cheapest method, which is to just dump it down the sewer. Let the City deal with it, I pay my bill. I know it all ends up in the river, but any other way of getting rid of it would cost too much. Sometimes it forms puddles in the driveway and dogs lap it up, but we do have leash laws, so what happens to them just can't be my worry.
I'm so glad it's readily available around here. Look at how much NASA is spending all the time looking for signs of it on other planets and moons.
