daniel 11:40-45

and at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him:and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirl wind with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships and he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass over.

he shall enter also into the glorious land and many countries shall be overthrown but these shall escape out of his hand even edom and moab and the chief of the children of ammon.

he shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries and the land of egypt shall not escape

but he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver and over all the precious things of egypt and the libyans and the ethiopians shall be at the steps.

but tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him. therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy and utterly to make away many.

and he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain yet he shall come to his end and none shall help him

anyone care to take a stab at that?

you can run and run from all your problems in any direction and gather all the resources you can but you will still be overwhelmed, hiding in holiness in the end will not resolve anything if you are still hiding, even in the holiest mountain fortress

face your battles in whatever direction you choose, but choose a direction for yourself or you will be lost in the end and your troubles will surround you

that's what i get out of it

i am leanin towards this point of view...whoever takes over in egypt is the abomination of desolation.....and to be steared clear of.

get a bible and read on...read all of chapter 11 and 12....

I said nothing about Egypt. The reference to Egypt in the scripture is irrelevant in relation to the greater meaning. Don't ask for other people's interpretations if you're just going to pretend they said what you wanted them to say.

Moab? Tabernacles? The Mormons are right? Not too many Libyans or Ethiopians in Utah, though.

I get it! Glenn Beck is right!

Two points: this isn't the "best lyrics" thread, and, while I like Ronnie James Dio as much as the next man, I don't think anyone would confuse his lyrics as anything but 100% grade A cheese.

I'm pretty sure when asking Glenn Beck out to dinner, the worst thing that could happen is him saying yes.
