Blizzard of 2011

Three feet of snow in my driveway this morning. And that's in Illinois, not Alaska!

So reminiscent of my youth growing up in Whitefish at the base of the Big Mountain ski resort. We would get a couple of those sized snow falls every year. I remember shoveled paths being tunnels of snow I couldn't see over.

And then it all blew my way. My son has had a 5 day weekend. We got the snow then the ice and now the wind has started. Mr. Groundhog can say anthing he wants we still have plenty of winter ahead. We love the snow, not because we ski, skate, snowshoe, or even snowmobile. My husband plows snow, the more snow the more work he has! (but honestly, enough already) We do live around the corner from a major ski resort and they say bring it on! We are also near the snowmobile trail system and they are making up for the last couple years when we didn't have much snow. So this is a winter to remember!

Well, at least now those eggheads will quit going on and on about "global warming"

It's pretty damned cold out.

As the ice cap over the ocean disappeared, this allowed the heat of the relatively warm seawater to escape into the much colder atmosphere above, creating an area of high pressure surrounded by clockwise-moving winds that sweep down from the polar region.

This has brought the colder winter and change in climate. Not that complicated.

Oh that's absolutely ridiculous. I suppose you heard that from some "scientist".

How about you give us some actual facts Bridgier?

Kacey, I am fairly sure Bridgier is speaking "tongue in cheek" about global warming, considering he is a liberal like myself...also his bike riding to work even in the winter is very "going green" as well...so I, of course, cannot speak for him, but those are my clues...

I SAW SARAH PALIN ON GLENN BECK TELLING US ABOUT WATCHING POLAR BEARS MAKE BABBY ON THE SHORE NOT AN ICEBERG SO GLOBAL WARMING IS A LIE ALSO TOO.

Wendy, we seem to have the same taste in media. That movie is a favorite with my 5 year old right now.
