I have never used the town dump, is there a charge to drop off "normal" household waste? If so, does anyone know off-hand how much it is? Thanks

Household garbage is free.They have fees for other things though.

normal household garbage from kitchen and bathroom are free (covered by tax revenue). also no charge for trees, lawn waste, auto batteries, or iron or appliances for the iron pile including large refrigerators (doors must be removed), for air conditioners, freezers as well as small refrigerators, there is a charge for freon removal. all other demolition items including furniture, carpet and all other clean up from house or garage, the charge is 2.5 cents per pound. there is also a charge for tires, and large and small animals.

Last time I was there, there was a charge for anything with free-on. So I woudl go out there and check.

"Town dump" is a poor name for the Bert Elwood Recycling Center.
