I'm enjoying being able to watch the snow falling via the MilesCam.

http://milescam.com/

The framerate is nice. I'm on a fast connection but I'm hoping it's good for others... being able to still load quickly while clearly seeing the snowflakes falling. Real pretty.

I'm also thinking of taking bets to see if that bobcat clearing snow at the bank takes out any parked/moving vehicles.

Dan, that framerate is great compared to normal. It has been really good since the snow, because less people are using the wifi at Main Street Grind.

It can be clear for anyone on basic 256up/down HighSpeed Internet, but if you have a 10MBPS down and 1Up like I do, it is always clear as it can be.

And I'm surprised it didn't take out a car. :P

Great shot of the Cowboy bus, Josh.

I was watching the 2am crowd leave the bars last night. At one point a guy came from around the corner of the Stockman Bank, walked across Main St., and went up alongside John Stockhill Jewelers where it appeared to me he urinated on the side of the building. He then got into a car that was parked in front of John Stockhill Jewelers and drove away taking a right turn and heading north on Seventh Street. Almost immediately one of Miles City's finest came into view going west on Main St. and took a right heading north on Seventh as well. Made me wonder if the cop had been tipped off and was in pursuit of the public urinator. Whatever the case, someone needs to tell that fellow about the camera.

Hahaha. I'm currently looking into getting a sign up on the "Airport - Jordan" sign pole pointing toward the camera. But that requires a few things.

One, having a sign made and acquiring a mount for it.

and Two... Getting permission from the City, and most likely Highway Dept and State.

But, if we can obtain this, there would be a sign stating

"Smile! Your on the world wide MilesCam!"

With a big arrow pointing to it. :P

The Montana Department of Transportation would never allow such a sign on one of their poles but you might put something up in the Main Street Grind window.

Possibly so Amorette. But, if they see it as a tourist attraction... Minds may change. If not, I'll consider other possibilities.

And the window sign? That won't do much for people walking/driving past.

The MDT doesn't approve of signs. Even their own. It takes years (and I mean that literally in some cases) to get permission to put up approved signs, like the brown Historic District ones. I wish you luck but MDT is not known for their promotion of tourism (note the mileage signs that list no places in Montana) or cheerful and helpful attitude. Good luck if you try, though.

That snowplow that just went by seems to be losing the battle

You have no idea Kyle. The snowplows here really are, including one that slid backwards down the underpass hill. xD
