The view on the milescam looks like snow. It's about time you guys got the winter weather you should be having.

Yes it is snowing, and the low temperatures are forecast to be 8F on Sunday night and 2F on Monday night. Winter is trying to make an entry into the area.

Screw 70 degree weather. 10 feet of snow is where it's at!

This morning in Helena I got up about 6 am - it was blowing a gale and raining. At about 7 am I let the dog out and the wind was blowing but the rain had stopped. My thermometer read 42. I looked outside about 5 minutes later...it was a total white-out and my thermometer had dropped 5 degrees. NOT fun driving back and forth to work today.

It's that wet, thick snow that is a misery to shovel but looks so seasonal and adds moisture. Not cold but I gather that is coming.

Ah, well. I can't get into the holiday spirit in warm weather. I need a bit of cold. Mind you, it can all disappear on January 2.

My wife got stuck in the Denver airport yesterday for 8 hours. Her flight to Helena did not arrive until 1:00 a.m. Then she had to deal with her car in the parking lot...3 inches of snow, underlain by an inch of ice.

I see its supposed to be -6°F here Saturday night. It must be time to go shoot an elk.

What annoys me is every year, people who have been born and raised in Montana and/or lived here for decades are AMAZED by the first snow fall. They are surprised that it is slippery and they have to drive more carefully. EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

Just like driving into flooded underpasses. We use to see it every year we lived in Tucson.

And why did her ever so gallant husband not have her car brushed off and idling for his waiting bride?

The snow has fallen, the idiot drivers are out... so drive defensively my friends.

Words of warning. People think because the road is slick, and they are going too fast, they can just run a yellow-red light. Which, about caused my car to be hit today. Keep your eyes open, and cell phones out of your dang hands ESPECIALLY in this weather.

You know, I did think about driving to the airport last night in my truck and scraping her car in the parking lot.....but, as previously mentioned, the roads were terrible in Helena last night and besides....TCM had a Don Knotts movie marathon on last night. I was riveted to "The Incredible Mr. Limpett."

Ah, well, it's the thought that counts right?

Just don't let her know that she plays second fiddle to the winning combination of Don Knotts, cartoon fish and Nazis.

I was riveted to "The Incredible Mr. Limpett."

I hear that will have a deleterious effect upon one's vision.

Hey Josh, have you ever considered flipping that thing around so we could keep an eye on the progress of the cellar construction?

The storms seem to have missed us here in Billings...but it is COLD.

Last night I left early as the storm was coming in, the wind was blowing so hard the First Interstate Tower was swaying...it was disconcerting to say the list. Things like buildings are not supposed to MOVE like that.

Indeed I have levi, however... The Cellar's Construction is being blocked by the building itself. It seems those plans we all saw on these forums a few months back were not the final plans. There is a huge wall next to the camera now, not a balcony.

The storm found Billings on the night of the 18th...and it hasn't stopped snowing since!

Just saw on the MDOT website that I-90 is closed before and after Columbus. I'm sure glad we decided to stay home when we heard about the weather coming. When I was young and stupid I wouldn't have let it dissuade me but I'm a wimp now.
