Does anyone know of any Southeastern Montana restaurants that may be open and serving Thanksgiving Dinners next Thursday?

My worst Thanksgiving ever was by myself in California and I tried to order a pizza from pizza hut. They were closed but their automated call in system was still on so when I called it just picked up and put me on hold saying "we will be with you soon" so I sat there for 25 minutes listening to their elevator music and thinking "I can't believe so many people are ordering pizza on Thanksgiving" before I finally got the hint.

Check before you drive for the exact times, but Heiser's Bar in Baker puts out a very nice FREE Thanksgiving dinner every year.

I could volunteer my Mom's house but she probably wouldn't appreciate that!

We've decided to stay home due to the weather between here and MC. I'd rather cook anyway.

No turkey this year. I'm making Cornish pasties. That's past-ies, Richard, not paste-ies.

We are having fresh, free range roast turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy...homemade cranberry sauce....braised leeks....green beans with bleu cheese....shrimp cocktail for an appetizer....and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert.

Think I will run out to Topper's Cellar this afternoon and see if I can pick up a couple of bottles of beaujolais for turkey dinner.

Woo hoo! Two bottles of this years beaujolais noveaux scored! $10 a piece was all, too!

I also have growlers of Blackfoot River Brewing Co. Single Malt IPA and Scottish ale....a 12-pack of Pilsener Urquell....and a keg of my homebrewed cream ale, that has been lagering for 8 weeks in the fridge.

Giblet stock has been simmering for hours, and smells great. Oh, and so does the turkey....starting to get that nice brown skin.

What could be better? Hmmmm......New Orleans beating Dallas, that's what!

Guests arrive in 35 minutes....better go change clothes.
