Do these names ring a bell with anyone? Nybo and Spoa?

They are referenced on two post cards sent from relatives to relatives, from the Miles City to the Hathaway area.

Two of the family names are the Bensons (Ben Benson was a section foreman on the NP RR at Hathaway for many years) and Nielsens who ranched at Hathaway.

Are they family names or place names? On the postcards they say: "were at Spoa" or "were at Nybo" also "Was visiting Nybo this evening and they told me...."

Does anyone know anything about these names?

Thank you,

Ralph Nybo lives in the Pine Hills east of Miles City, and his parents lived there before him. Ralph is in his 80's, so could be some of his family.

Ralph's parents was Casper and Inga. Ralph's wife is Ida. They were our "next-door" neighbors when we lived in the Pine Hills.

I can't remember the founding Nybo's first name offhand but he was one of the wave of Scandinavian immigrants in Miles City in the post-Milwaukee years. He was a concrete contractor when that was the new, cool building material and built the blocks for the old First Lutheran Church. So, yeah, surnames.
