Mile City Air Force Station ("the radar site")

I have stayed in contact with several of "us folks" who had
the pleasure of being part-time Miles City residents while
station at the 902nd AC&W Sqdn. west of town that most locals simply called the radar site. I was there during the period 10/59 through 5/61.

Some of the group have been talking about have a reunion of as many folks as we can find in conjunction with the Bucking Horse Sale in the next year or two and wonder if any former member of the 902nd still reside in Miles City. If so, give me a shout.

My ex-husband, Keith Bennett was stationed there in the early to mid 60's. He lives in San Diego now, but I will pass on the info to him, as it progresses. I think it's great.

A reunion sounds v ery interesting. To me the radar base has only been a ghost town. I've been out to the area a few times and have often wondered what it looked like when it was a going operation. What photos exist of the base? I would be interested in seeing them.

Hello John,
If you notice those posts were from 2003. Yes it would be nice to have a large reunion sometime but not when the BHS is on. Rooms are hard to get and expensive. A couple of us walked into whats left of the base over Labor Day 2004. Nothing but foundations and some of the ops building.

I'm from Stroudsburg but now live in N. Georgia so know where your from. I was stationed there 7/57 to 8/58 in radio maint.
