Pumpkin Farm?

Is there a pumpkin farm around MC where people can pick their own Halloween pumpkins?

Pumpkin Patch located off Sunset Drive. Not sure of days or hours they will be open, but if you drive by there is usually a sign up.

Richard, you're misleading them. Sunset Drive originates at the underpass and continues east out into the valley past the fork leading to Baker.

Is this the patch in the Aye Addition? Because finding the Aye Addition is the first step to finding the rest.

Bill: Ironic than you mention that, as I was a little surprised when I looked it up on Google Maps. I thought Sunset Dr used to be the loop behind Sunset Memorial Gardens, (which according to Google has been renamed Pine Crest Cemetery) at the west edge of Myrons corn field and across from Muggli Rd.

And what you state make sense as the Sunset Drive-in would be on Sunset Dr. So I guess this is one of those "did the boss say to go five miles up ten mile creek or ten miles up five mile creek" deals. I am not really to mislead anyone.

Perhaps Patty O, can tell us where to go....

Bill is correct, except that it is the Broadus highway and not the Baker. If you take Strevell to the cemetary, once you go under the underpass you are on Cemetary road. Sunset drive is off of that across from the Calvary Cemetary.

Richard, you had the right area. Aye's pumpkin patch is off of Sunset Drive in the Aye Addition (cemetary road area). Sunset is the last turn to the right before you make the corner to head up to Hwy 59. We've gone out there for pumpkins, but already knew where we were going, not sure if there are signs marking their turn They usually have a HUGE field of pumpkins, but with our weird summer weather, haven't heard how this year's crop did.....

So Google is correct.

However, I think Bill's original statement is also correct. What is now known as Valley Drive East used to be referred to as Sunset Drive say 40-50 years ago.

I went out there the other day and didn't see any pumpkin patch at all.

The only thing I remember about that area is when I was in high school was going out to the cemetary to have keggers...seems like we did a lot in Pine Hills too.

Went by there and to my surprise no pumpkins this year. Is there anywhere else that is going to have them available?

It's me the Pumpkin Man (Bret Aye), I grow the pumpkin patch, we are located on Harvest Lane, take Cemetary Road turn right on Sunset Drive which is in the Aye Sub., follow it till you get too the very bottom and turn left on Harvest Lane (the new vinyard is a turn to the right on Morning Star). Drive by the Yellow house and fallow the trail until you get to a pole barn (green with a gray roof), pumpkin patch is along side, kind of hidden from view. The crop looks good from having a poor start this spring, the catapult needs work and will be operational shortly, the hours are 4:00pm till dark weekdays & 9:00am till dark weekends starting Oct. 1, the signs are not up yet. The vines are thick this year covering a good crop of pumpkins. Call 234-3809.

this is such a great place! we took out 2 boys out there today and had a great time! we found a 43 lb pumpkin and then some other sizes. it was so fun to watch the boys run through the pumpkin patch and find the "perfect" pumpkin! they have orange and white ones, huge and small ones!! she only charges 15 cents a lb. way cheaper then the stores!! it's a great place and i advise anyone to take the time and head on out there! very friendly too!
