Lets get this started.

In my opinion this week's AP Power Poll should go MC, BC, Dillon, Butte Central, Polson. If MC and BC are ranked 1 and 2, it would be the fourth straight meeting between these two teams in which they were 1 and 2.

Oh, and we're going to win by at least 21.

Central is a different team this year with a much more balanced attack from what I hear. When we have played them in the recent past they have run the ball primarily. This year they seem to have a good passing game to go along with the run game. I think the Cowboys will win but in a much closer and higher scoring game. Cowboys 26- Central 21. We will miss at least 2 extra point attempts. Ughhh. Any thoughts?

Central hasn't improved from last season. They may be passing more effectively, but I see that as a function of their running game not being up to the level of where it has been. They don't have a Pelczar or Grosulak in the backfield, or three different guys who are a threat to rush for over a 100 yards in any given game.

Miles City, on the other hand, is a better team than last year. By all accounts, they are bigger, stronger and faster than the 2009 team. They also have nearly everyone back, so they're more experienced and familiar with the game plan.

The Rams beat them last year with quickness. Central is not as quick as they were last season. The Rams aren't going to surprise the Cowboys with the Wing-T. Miles City isn't some finesse team out of the western half of the state. The Cowboys are going to hit the Rams harder than the Rams hit them and they'll end up winning by a comfortable margin because of it.

Also, you have to ask yourself this: which team do you think is hungrier?

27-12, Cowboys.

Frankly, I would love it if Central reverted back to their old style of chucking the ball on every down ... which usually resulted in the Cowboys winning by 25-30 points.

Brian, I like your assessment of the game. I agree with all that you said. I believe that it is going to be a close game and a defensive struggle. With the game being on a Thursday and in Billings, I look for a slow start by both teams and Miles City wearing them down. It will be our passing game that will stand out.

I still think it will be close but I hope not. Maybe it will be 48-42 but I think more like 14-7 or 21-14. Who knows?

Go Cowboys.

The boys by at least two touchdowns and imagine this.....Hubbell and I agree......a couple missed extra points. The other night on KULR-8 when they interviewed the BC kids you could almost tell they knew they were already beat!!

Hell Wattsy you and I never agree on anything. Good points Brian I was hoping to hear a little more out of someone that has a good idea about what Central actually has and you live there right? Have you watched any of their games this season. I didn't see that interview Watts was talking about but their boys will be ready to play. I wish I could make the game it will be a good one. I have watched all of the Cowboys games except Havre and that defense is very good. Go Cowboys.

I didn't get a chance to see the Gazzette today and the Polls are not online yet, so can someone tell me who the top were in order?

this is going to be a fun one. I'm still thinking we win fairly comfortably. I thought our corners could be a weak link on the defensive side, but they were fantastic last weekend against Belgrade. I'm not worried about them (not that I was really worried before, but the rest of the defense is so, so dominant). I agree with Brian that their passing is more a reflection on their running. None of their backs are scary. Tolstedt is decent, but he's just a Grosulak wannabe. Defensively they will be tough, but I see our defense completely shutting them down. They may score once.

Billings Central was a much smaller team, with a much bigger heart. The Cowboy's body language said it all by half time when they gave up. Hope they can regroup.
