Ok. I normally don't complain about my physical ailments. I figure I have plenty of time to alienate my friends when I'm really old. But today my doctor told me I have tennis elbow. Yes, tennis elbow. I don't play tennis.

I'm also getting my husband's cold. I haven't had a cold in three years. Would someone just rip out my throat now and get it over with? Pass me a lozenge. Hack, ack, aaaaaacckkk.

Racquet elbow would make more sense... as in you're always raising...

Oh Wendy...I do feel for you. It is very painful...it seems once you are stricken with it...it "sticks" with you forever. I imagine your Dr. told you that you really need to "baby" that elbow for awhile. Otherwise, it just comes on fast and furious and gets to the point where you can hardly lift your arm.

Not trying to ruin your evening...but, take it seriously. I have had many a cortisone shots...wore braces...etc. YUCK! Whatever you are doing in a repetative motion is causing it no doubt.

Sorry about the cold...this time of year seems to be when it all starts. Tell the Hubby...no more kissing till next spring!

Do take care!

Yup. Still sick. And now with an enormous zit on my forehead. Life just keeps gettin' better.

Oh, and an ear infection too.

You sound as though you have infections running rampant in your body. I hope you get some antibiotics.

Oh, please. I'll be getting zits until the day I die. On the bright side I'll probably get fewer wrinkles because of it.

Julie...i can only imagine how these kinds of threads get to you as you continue to battle your cancer. A person takes everything for granted forsure. You are such a strong, positive person...and you make us all stop and remember how precious everyday is and not complain about the little things in life.

Keep up your great smile and attitude. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Perhaps some mormon alcohol is in order.

Why is it so hard to read? Someone has cancer, that sucks. Someone has infections running rampant through their body, that sucks. We can empathize with both parties. I complain everytime I get really sick. I NEVER think "It could be worse." Yes, it could be worse, but since I am not worse, why think about it? I just suffer through what I have, and be thankful I got better.

Illness isn't a comparison, unless we are in some triage situation? I don't know. Get well, BOTH of you.

One of the stages of grief perhaps...anger...and I would have grief if I had cancer, that's for sure...Hope you are feeling better soon Julie...and Wendy, hope your ailments got better soon as well...Julie, Wendy isn't someone to get angry with...she is a nice lady that was having a bad day...nothing more, nothing less..

You bet I'm angry! But not at Wendy. First I had an incompetent Gynecologist here in Miles City. Now I have an oncologist in Billings who makes me feel he has already given up on me. I leave for San Diego next week for an appointment with another doctor.

so sorry to hear that...I would be angry also...My sister just had an almost identical experience with her doctor in Florida and now has Stage 4 lung cancer and 6 months to live...she is angry as well as the doctor initially missed her diagnosis...You will be in my prayers and stay safe on the journey to San Diego...

Julie...so glad you are moving on for more opinions. I have a friend dealing with a type of cancer and was feeling the same way you are feeling with your oncologist. She moved on, too and at this very time is getting great reports.

I really wish you the best as you continue to fight...everyone who knows you...knows what a upbeat personality you are! Walmart isn't the same without you and your big happy smile! With your attitide...anything is not without reach. Travel safe and keep us posted...keeping you in my prayers.

I hope you're feeling better soon too, Julie. My family has dealt with cancer and I know what it does to you. I started a silly thread that was meant only to vent my personal, albeit wimpy, frustrations at the time. I knew that it was frivolous and superficial. It was meant to be. But sometimes people need to do that. Being gloom and doom all the time isn't always the best way to live even when you can't seem to see anything else. I hope you are able to find some light in the darkness you are currently experiencing.

There is a big difference between a sore arm and having a low day and a terminal illness. I think the anger for the latter rather overwhelmed the humor in the former.
