Today I listened to, in this order:

Bullet for my Valentine
K.D. Lang

My tastes are teasingly diverse.

By the way, I'm in Glendive right now. Ironic, eh?

I just got back from a trip to Californica, where my iPod was hooked up to the rental car stereo. Ain't technology grand?

I listened to:

The Rolling Stones Emotional Rescue....dang, but I love this old album. I remember when it came out, I didn't think too much of it....but it gets better and better over the years. Even that silly disco song at the start sounds great.

Creedence Clearwater Revival Willy and the Poor Boys...I was driving through the Sacremento Delta country, so it seemed appropriate to listen to some local music.

The Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East Deluxe Edition...restored to it entirety, including the stuff off Eat a Peach...that's the best thing about MP3 players, listening to live recordings that are over three hours long...great driving music. I also listened to a Drive-By Truckers concert from 2004 that sounded great as well.

Listened to Bob Dylan this Saturday in Jackson Hole. Wasn't very happy about that.

Otherwise: Porcupine Tree - In Absentia, Spock's Beard - X, Zebra - No Telling Lies, 12 Stone Toddler - Does It Scare You?, Neal Morse - Sola Scriptura.

Bob's not much of a singer, but it was still fun to see him. Be sure to have a number for his first number!

Is it just me or does Bob Dylan sound like Buckwheat from "The Little Rascals" when he sings?

"Everybody must get...."

Bob did a pretty good show last time I saw him, in Park City 1989. I know he's a has-been, but want to support him and thank him for what all he's done to rock and roll. See you in Missoula!
