My older brother, who lives in Bozeman, Land of the Zillion Restaurants, half of which specialize in breakfasts, always has the raspberry blintzes at 4-Bs when he comes here because he can get them no place else. Ask for the bacon extra crisp and it's not bad.

They are serving breakfast at the Eagles on Sunday morning, and it is usually very good.

For a good old greasy breakfast the 600 is the place.

I would go with Galleghers! 600 is expensive and has horrible service but they do have a great Chicken Fried steak.

Brewsters (on Haynes, across from Town Pump)has DELICIOUS coffees, bagels and muffins for breakfast. The service is top-notch and the coffee is incredible

McDonalds... anything on the menu, it didn't matter. What mattered is that it meant I could see Professor Griswold having his morning juice while reading his book. A quick visit with Bob while grabbing a Big Breakfast was the best breakfast in MC.

Best breakfast in town? That's easy, one where somebody else picks up the bill.

So, Richard coming to old MC anytime soon?

Depends on the time of day I think. The best breakfast in town at 2 a.m. used to be at the 4 B's but last I knew it's closed. Is there anywhere in town for that "after a night out", early morning breakfast?

The cafe out at the old Flying J used to have a pretty dang good breakfast too, from what I remember of it, but that hasn't been since my 21st b'day. haha

4Bs isn't 24 hour. Too many drunks and too little help made it unprofitable to run that way.

Not closed, just not open 24 hrs anymore.

I believe the 519 still has middle of the night breakfast...and the one time I was out in the middle of the night and went there....it was fabulous!

And although I love the 600 and Gallaghers for breakfast....Taco Johns, believe it or not, takes the cake when I am in a hurry...or should I say burrito!

Nope, no after bar breakfast at the 519 anymore... Your only choice is the gas stations!

And the best breakfast in town... The 600!

We just got back from Bozeman. Okay, I do NOT want to live there any more but when it comes to breakfast choices, there are advantages to bigger cities. No Eggs Argyle around here.

Yes, Bozeman is a good place to eat breakfast. I like the Baxter...forget the name of the place in it, but I had an Irish breakfast there back in November that was out of this world good.

Out of curiosity, are there any good Sunday brunches in Miles City these days?

Please excuse my culinary ignorance, but what is Eggs Argyle?

That is a pretty good question, Richard....what the heck are eggs argyle?

I would take a WAG and bet they are served in an argyle pattern.

The next question is: Why does Amorette find eggs in sweaters so delicious?

Take an English muffin, split and toasted. Place smoked salmon on each half, then a poached egg, and top with Hollandaise sauce. It's a variant on Eggs Benedict.

Thanks. thinking to myself ... I will stick to Gallaghers #4 and Irish Oatmeal and die happy. I wonder if eggs argyle is ever served with a side of hagus

Amorette...Did you eat at The Gourmet Gas Station? They have salmon eggs benedict there, and all of their food is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere not quite as unique since they moved, but the food still amazing! For a good greasy cheap breakfast in Bozeman you can't go wrong with the Cats Paw! And amazing bagels at Bagelworks... but for overall breakfast...in Bozeman I have to love Main Street Overeasy. I miss the culinary choices in that town!!!!

Richard - it's haggis. . .

The 600 used to have great service when I worked there, but that was a very long time ago. It's also my first memory of going out to breakfast after church on Sun . . . so for sentimental reasons it's my favorite.

Gallagher's was great!!! They had some new specials only 4.99 and the rest of the menu was reasonably priced as well. The service was great, nice friendly and very quick! I also tried the 600 and the food was pretty good but it took along time to get my breakfast.

I have been eating breakfast in Miles City once a week for over 2 years. I went to the 600 a couple of times but it seemed kind of greasy and the sausage gravy was almost inedible. As a result, 4-B's became a regular stop until the under-cooked hash browns became too much to digest. Now it is Gallagher's on a weekly basis. There a person can find both great service and an edible breakfast.

On kind of a side note, I finally have begun to order my eggs, scrambled. At least when scrambled, my eggs are consistant, meaning I don't have to wonder if the cook and I are on the same wavelength when I order eggs any other way.

The Gourmet Gas Station is now closed. Locked up and dark. The move did them in. In my opinion, they paid way too much for a mediocre location. The old location in Gallatin Gateway was perfect. Maybe 30 seats, including the counter. Not much for overhead. They did have great food, but the passing of the previous owner (Charlie maybe?) also cost them many long time customers. He was a Gallatin Valley icon.
