Easter Egg Hunt??

We are new to the area and are wondering if there are any community easter egg hunts? My children loved the ones where we used to live and are hoping there is one here.

In past years there has always been one - usually at Riverside Park. You might call the Chamber of Commerce. They should have the info. Anyone from the Chamber on here that knows?

The Wesleyan Church has one every year. They are located over by Garfield School. I don't have their number but I'm sure its in the phone book. If you call, they can probably give you all the info you need! BTW....welcome to Miles City!

The Extended Care at Holy Rosary Healthcare will be inviting kids to join their festivities Saturday, April 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 that afternoon. This is a great one to take younger children to --very civilized. The EC residents will host a few games, pass out Easter eggs and treats, and all the kids will leave with eggs and small prizes. No pushing, shoving, or crushed feelings because someone wasn't fast enough to grab an egg before a bigger kid got it first.

It is usually at Wibaux Park, not Riverside.

Our community is awesome for doing an egg hunt and if I remember correctly it is the Saturday before Easter in Wibaux Park. My daughter is in Builder's Club at the junior high and she helps out with the hunt. It is a lot of fun and a lot of hard work filling the eggs with candy and prizes. Contact the Chamber office to find out for sure. We are looking forward to it this year.

The Easter Egg Hunt at the Wesleyan Church is Sat the 3rd. Registration for prizes begins at 11:00. There will be music by the Rosebud Creek Revival during the morning. At noon there is a short Easter drama, a song by Sharla Jerrel and then the egg hunt. There are tickets in some of the eggs for small prizes and drawings for larger prizes will take place during the free lunch of hot dogs, potato salad, chips and cookies. Prizes include 4 bikes. It is quite the spectacular event.

There is another one that I saw in the paper last night. At the MC Green house. 1pm, and they will have planting and animals. Sounds like a great little one there too!

I went to the one at Wibaux park with my two-year old this morning. I was so upset by the way some of the parents were acting. This lady ran into my daughter and knocked her and her eggs over. She didn't even say sorry or excuse me. The parents are so competitive and rude! I hope the extended care does a good job, because I don't think I will be taking my daughter back to Wibaux. Parents need to get their heads on straight and let the kids have fun. It's not a competition.

i think this years egg hunt went horribly wrong. i'm sure it was an honest mistake that the 0-2 & 3-4 yr olds time got all screwed up but my son didn't even have his chance at finding eggs. also, why didn't they extend the age groups? last year they allowed kids older than 6 didn't they? i have a nephew that is new to town & he was totally bummed that he wasn't allowed to participate. he's 8 & i thought they had it last year for up to 10 or something like that. can someone correct me if i'm wrong or tell me why this was this way this year

Yes, it was an honest mistake that the first two groups took off together. Restraining small children is not easy. I think the Wibaux Park hunt has always stopped at age six. As for pushy parents. . .oy.

Positively 4 Kids Child Care Association will be in charge of organizing this event next year. We have talked about separating the age group areas further apart, so it is not so crowded, and then starting all age groups at the same time. We MIGHT try to go a little older, but it was advertised as 6 and under for this year. At this point we are open to suggestions and you are welcome to come to our next meeting on 4-20-10 at the conference room at DEAP @ 7 PM, to express your opinions. Positively 4 Kids CCA is like a PTA for young children in child care. Parents, grandparents, & community members are welcome to join us in creating POSITIVE events for children in our area. Help us make sure we can avoid hard feelings next year (and at our other events this year!). Thanks!

The only thing i can think of is the one at the park needs to seperate the ages better and make the younger ones area bigger. It was way to crowded and some of the older kids in the younger age group took the eggs from the younger ones, or the younger ones didn't really get a chance to get the eggs. That's just my conserns and suggestion.
