Any recommendations for one in Miles City? I dislike the idea of having to run to Billings all the time! Thanks.

We love Dr. Kovacs. His home office is in Billings, and you do have to have the braces put on in Billings. However, after that, you can do all of your maintenance visits here in Miles City, as he just opened an office in the old County Market building. Highly recommended.

Dr. Kovacs and his staff are outstanding. And the new local office for ongoing visits is very handy ~(after braces are initially put on as mentioned above) They have been super to work with and very flexible in coordinating appointments. I would recommend them time and time again.

Thank you! I will be giving them a call on Monday! Of course my daughter would actually like all the trips to Billings and missing all day of school. Is his office in Billings easy to get to?

Super easy. Just a few blocks past Target.

Dr. Nichols is also practicing in Miles City, located on Pleasant across from Chamber and I would recommend him for his assessment skills. Second opinion stories are always entertaining, so here's one: referral from our local dentist to Kovacs, kid (12 yo) looked like he needed orthodontist help. Kovacs said yep, get him in now for braces and pay me $6000. We thought, lets try a second opinion. Dr. Nichols said xrays looked like kid might need a bit of jaw/tooth development (Kovacs did not ask to see xrays);Nichols asked us to wait on braces for six months to see how things developed. Saw Dr. Nichols at six month follow up and he asked why we wanted our kid to have braces...reminded him of last visit six months ago and he said waiting was not only good for the kid but obviously our pocket books. That being said I have heard many stories of folks being very satisfied with Dr. Kovac's work. I am just one of those happy people who are glad I never have had to spend time or money on him. Kid has great smile.

Nichols did my braces... And he is great. A bit grumpy about missing a spot or 2 when brushing but otherwise good.

Nichols is the best...my child is just finishing up, we have one more visit to check the retainer. You are so lucky to have an orthodontist of his caliber in Miles City...we have had to drive over 90 miles to Miles City to see him every month but SOOOOOO worth it. Gosh, don't drive to Billings; Nichols will save you time and money. Mrs. Nichols and Sandy and Dr Nichols' tall cute brunette assistant (I can't remember her name, darn it) are all fabulous, too. IN an "emergency" Sandy has been readily available to repair a broken wire or reattach a bracket that has popped off. My recommendation is ...STAY HOME.

One of my kids went to Kovacs and one to Nichols. Both good-win-win!
