interview questions

for a writing essay i have to interview someone and compose a witty article. i've chosen to interview my husband, but would like some questions to ask. if you were to read an interview of an average guy, what would you be interested in knowing? random, i know; but i think this may be an interesting approach to interviewing someone.

No offense but some of those are not interview questions. You hit somebody with something philosophical like that on the spot they're just going to sit there and go "um er ah". Ask about his past, what led up to the major events of his life, how things turned out or didn't turn out the way he expected them to, get him to tell some funny stories, etc.

"If we were to hire you, how would your skills impact our bottom line." This is really all you need to know. If the employee isn't going to make you money, there is no reason to hire that person.

Ask him what is and has been his greatest motivation and how did it/he/she influenced his life...

That's a meaty one that everyone can relate to in composing your article.

Another good one could be; "what was the greatest challenge or setback in your life and how did you overcome it and what did you learn from it?"

....if he turns out to be a Shemp fan, I would divorce him.

One of my husband's favorite questions to ask people, basically to get them to loosen up is, "What's the weirdest thing that's ever happened to you while eating a sandwich?"

That's a good one...I often asked that manhole question of my geometry students. There is actually a common sense one that in turn is explained by mathematics.
