The year so far

2009 was not a great year so I had high hopes that 2010 would be better. Based on the last few days, it is turning out even worse.

I want to call Robin Gerber and whine about my upcoming surgery and I can't.

I want to joke with Hazel Rickett about the joys of working for a big box discounter and I can't.

Now I learn that another Miles Citian may be in peril in Haiti.

I don't know if I can take it if February doesn't get better.

yes in a total of the first 13 days of the new year I have lost my father in law, had a blowout on my front tire on my way home from billings, i have bronchitis and sinus and ear infection and today lost my grandfather after a long drawn out six week battle. IT CAN ONLY GO UP FROM HERE!

The first two weeks of 2010 have been pretty crappy for me. Seems like one thing after another has gone wrong, but I'm resisting the urge to feel sorry for myself when I think about folks like Hazel Rickett and Robin Gerber or the thousands killed in Haiti. Sort of makes my problems seem insignificant.

Maybe this will cheer you all up. It is usually all a matter of perspective.

So Richard, you must have an opinion on this. What's the best beer in which to drown one's sorrows? I need suggestions.

My year has started with a few frustrations but holds the promise of a great year due to a pending move...this isn't the best time of year to be moving but as soon as the physical move is done, it should be excellent...

So far 2010 has been a sad one. I sure hope it only gets better from here. I'm not sure how much more I can take.

Harp... if you want to take a while to drown your sorrows. Guinness Extra Stout if you want to get it over with in two beers.

One of my favorites but you can't even get it in bottles in Miles City . Actually I don't know if you can get any stout here except Guinness and the Wibaux brewery stout if you go to the Rib and Chop house.
