Pedestrian hit on Main by drunk driver?
Posted by ss (+25) 12 years ago
Anyone know anything about the pedestrian hit on Main last night by a drunk driver? There was about 3 blocks blocked off over by Stockman bank and I heard a little on a police scanner about it being a pedestrian hit by drunk driver but heard no more. Anyone know if the person is ok?

The driver was'nt legally drunk.

That is such a relief. He was only illegally drunk.

The lengths people will go in order to rationalize and enable.

I hope the victim of this illegal drunk recovers quickly and completely.

I talked with the investigating officer,And the driver was not charged with DUI.So how can you say he was a drunk driver. The truth is the driver also has a blind spot in his line of vision.I know these facts dorthy because it was my sister who got hit.

Well, I hope your sister will be ok and recovers quickly and completely.

I was only going on what you said, that the driver wasn't legally drunk. If you had said he wasn't drunk, I would not have reacted the way I did.

Also, the subject title refers to the driver as drunk.

Again, prayers for your sister's quick recovery.

Best to your sister, but the real question here is... Who was the driver? What did they drive? That way I can look back and forth 20 times before crossing the street.

Matthew 7:1 comes to mind.

Maybe a cell phone was involved, they are the new impaired driving from what I see. Maybe the driver was busy looking at a picture of his girlfriend in her new Christmas underoos she had just sexted to him and took out the pedestrian. It could happen.

I hope she will recover in good shape and I hope the driver was insured.

I wonder if it was the dude who hit my vehicle. He was drunk, hit it while parked and the breathalyzer didn't give him a DUI. this system sucks. My best to the victim for a full recovery.

Matthew 11:15 begins to seem appropriate.

The subject title says someone was hit by a drunk driver.

I responded to that.

The brother of the victim then said that the driver was not legally drunk - whatever that means.

Then I was called judgemental.

Now I am being told I do not listen.

I offered prayer for the girl that was hit.

This is not the first time I have been targeted here.

This is the last time I will visit this forum.

You should be pleased to know that what you perceive as a judgemental non-listening person will no longer darken your doors.

I hope none of you ever lose someone to a drunk driver though. It colors the way you see the world. I suppose if my sister had not been hit and killed by a drunk driver I wouldn't be so judgemental and so deaf.

Well, rest assure the rumors seem to fly in town quicker then the actual facts. I just came back from visiting Amy and she is doing BETTER! Amen, she has allot of family and friends around her to support her thur this misfortunate time. She has been released from ICU and in a room in Billings still but will be there for a few days still for observation. It must be hard for all who was there involved in this, has been very emotional for everyone, especially over the holidays.
