Let's hope people find the animal more beautiful alive than hung up on someone's wall.

Thanks for sharing, Richard.

Years ago there was one that lived on the edge of town at Ryegate. He was well fed and watched over by the folks there for several years. Beautiful animals, and their rarity makes them captivating. Unfortunately he was done in by an out of state hunter. I'm willing to bet that guy was never invited back.

We had a true Albino Deer out here by our place a few years back. We saw him last Thanksgiving (08) but never saw him again. I have a picture. I suppose I should post it as well. But its not on this computer.

Read about the White Deer in and around Miles City, was at the Radar Base in early60s did not see any , but this last year went to Air Force reunion at the old Sampson AFB in upstate NY they have a herd of white deer large protected herd, at what is now Sampson State Park, (Geneva NY) and the Seneca Army Depot near the old base.I remember the Antelope Herd out at the Radar Base , also the Mule deer (poached one myself down back of the base no license))

Carl, I myself do not enjoy hearing about anyone poaching deer so keep it to yourself. That's how most of the real hunters lose places to hunt

this is a great thread. I moved to MC this july from Upper Michigan. Check out this article and picture of this monster albino shot in Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Here it is: http://www.uppermichigans...?id=225326

This photo was taken some place in Utah - I no longer have the email, so I can't look it up and tell exactly where.

Cubby sorry to hear you are so upset of maybe my wrong choice of words"Poaching" that might have been a little strong 1st of all deer was shot on Radar Site prop. during season only thing was we did not have a Montana hunting license at the time, I understand your stand on losing places to hunt.
