I thought you were not allowing swearing on here. Yet Mr. Reed just finished his last rant against me with four capital letters which are inappropriate for this forum.

Is it ok to swear if you abbreviate it?

I personally think people who need to swear have anger issues.

Some people just inherently cuss--maybe because of where they work---like for instance, oilfielders. Loosely, most of them have a tendency to cuss---throughout my whole childhood, my dad did--he worked in the oilfield and it seemed every other word out of his mouth was the f word. Then when he quit, the cussing went way down. Now he's back in the area, and it's coming back again. My dad in no way has anger issues. I, growing up around my dad, unfortunately have some of his word tendencies (though I've been doing very well at correcting them), and I don't have anger issues. Therefore, I think your statement was off. Besides, you're an adult, right? Brush it off and walk on. Life goes on--it doesn't quit just because someone may have offended you.

(not really, we were probably parked in a repair shop somewhere. That's how we spent all of our vacations! LOL All he had to do was reach over and smack me.)

Here's the thing: you made the assumption that "STFU" could ONLY mean "Shut The F**k Off." Have you ever stopped to consider - just for a moment - that what I was saying was Shut The Frak Off? Because I HAVE used "Frak" on milescity.com on more than one occasion. I've also used the term "effing."

Either way, big effing whoop. If you don't want to be told to STFU, then do yourself a favor and and stop telling me how to raise my children. You will get a STFU every single time.

Anyone ever seen the movie Public Access? Seems oddly relevant to this entire website. As for bothering the webmaster I vote never to bother him unless it is concerning a technical issue that he is actually NEEDED for. Remember this entire site is a privelage not a right.

As for swearing a quote comes to mind: "profanity is an idle mind expressing itself". My gears reel often and then intellectual discourse is usually replaced by four letter words which doesn't make me a simpleton or full of anger, just frustrated. Now yelling at someone is another story.

Guess we are getting mighty close to Christmas for this discussion. Recall the infamous scene in the car in the movie "Christmas Story," about the F word.

Guess we really are getting close to Christmas...check out the scenes at Target, Walmart, and etc....Have a great one!

I fail to see how a gainfully employed young man who spends his free time participating in community oriented projects (like the webcam) who is nearing the age when he can vote, serve his country, run for office, own real property, etc. can be deemed a child. That seems awefully condescending to me. When I was 17 I had already been on my own for 3 years and being told I was a child was no more than a form of negative reinforcement I was lucky enough to ignore.

What some of you do not understand is that other people, outside the normal circle, also peruse MilesCity.com. Possibly perspective professionals who have an interest in moving to our town. Is it appropriate to show the consistent bickering and name calling that is all too common? I have pleaded several times before, please clean it up, stay on topic and lets have some good debate. Is that asking too much? My teen age children have more respect that what I see here. Please if you can't at least fake being mature, don't bother.

Steve Z, you make an excellent point. Those of us who have not been to Miles City in many years are really getting a picture of the community and the people and how it has changed. Certainly not a friendly, pleasant or intellectual group as representatives here. I should think cleaning it up would benefit the town. I am thinking that I probably don't want to return for my class reunion.

Here's My Take on things.

MC.com is a wonderful place. Why? You get into silly arguments you would never think of doing (Unless you are donna) in real life.
Also, if you are man/woman enough to use your real name as your handle, as many of us do (and donna had), I am sure you have been recognized in town by some anonymous reader of this site if you ever had an argument, and have been told how idiotic you were.
I know I have, and my simple answer to these people is... "As I see it, the forums are not real life, so whatever said there stays there. Or, a much easier way to put it... 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas'".

Makes since? Yes.

If any of you were to call me out in town at the store or whathaveyou, I would tell you that also, and be on my way.

So, for any of you small minded individuals on this forum who take it seriously, get real.
