Lobbying influence in Washington was #2 on my list of things I wanted to see Obama get accomplished. If you think this is a bad change, Rep or Dem, I feel bad for you.

I agree with you, anything to get rid of lobbyists in DC is a good thing IMO....

If it makes the lobbyists mad, its probably a good thing.

I love the ironic quote from the not-so-astute lobbyist who complained:

"This was done in a vacuum," said another business lobbyist who sits on one of the panels. "The decision was made in a room of the White House without consultation."

I wonder how long it will take this guy to figure out that limiting "consultation" with lobbyists is EXACTLY what this policy is about. Poetic justice?

And more good news comes in. This is a good week for me.

The lobbyist's will likely be replaced with czars and former Acorn employees. It's pretty much more smoke and mirrors.

When Snowe and Collins break the GOP ranks, it isn't news.

But when Hutchison, Hatch, Lugar and others go astray -- WOW! Halliburton has made some real enemies, and they aren't al Quaeda.

One thing is surprising to me - I didn't think federal legislation could name individual entities - be they corporations, states or people (except in honorary circumstances). Learn something everyday.
