Memorial Service: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11:00 am at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Homes in Miles City.

Wade Martin (Marty) Bjerke, age 44, of Billings, MT, formerly of Miles City, MT passed away at his home on Saturday, June 30th, 2007.
Marty was born December 22, 1962 in Riverton, WY to Harley and Irene Bjerke (Sallgren). He moved to Miles City with his family in 1968. He attended schools in Miles City. After graduating from CCHS in 1981, he worked in the oil industry for several years. He and Tammie Steadman were married December 26, 1983. Into this union two children, David and Jessica were born. They relocated to Billings where he was employed by Eagle Business Forms as a pressman until the time of his death. Marty loved fishing, camping, football, tinkering with old cars, carpentry, and playing with his dog Scooby.
Marty is survived by his mother, Irene (Ray) Sallgren of Miles City; his daughter Jessica Bjerke of Placerville, CA; his son David Bjerke, of Billings, MT; his Grandmother Berniece Turnquist, of Cooperstown, ND; three sisters: Marcia Goldmarck (Chuck) of Sacramento, CA, Jeanette Cremer (Chuck) of Billings, MT, and Toni Pembroke (Larry) of Gaylord, MI; two stepbrothers: Duane (Debbie) Maier of Miles City and Doug (Judy) Maier of Chandler, AZ, four stepsisters: Barbara Brendt (Charlie) of Miles City, Shirley (Lee) Hendry of Miles City, Lori Price of Miles City and Nancy Hawke of Uricka, CA, two uncles: Alan (Glady) Turnquist of Miles City and Terry (Mickey) Turnquist of Miles City along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Harley, his grandfather, Martin Turnquist, his stepfather, Oscar Maier, and his brother, Danny Taylor.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11:00 am at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Homes in Miles City. Internment will take place at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com.
