Class of 81

I am looking for classmates from 1981. I see several names I recognize from other years, but not many from then. Just curious as to which people are still around.

Hi Corrina:

Glad you started this thread. I am home in Miles City for Christmas and a classmate of my sisters told me about this site!

Class of 1981 -- WOW 25 years ago now. NO WE ARE NOT HAVING A 25th reunion. I have been asked this question many times - the answer is still NO..... Too much work to do it every 10 years let alone have one in the middle. The 30th will be great in 2011!!!! It will be hard to top the last 2, but we will try.

I jsut had dinner with San Dee Walden Russell and her hubby Bruce, plus Leah Jordan Miller and husband Grant. We had a blast talking about the good ol' days.

I am still in Minnesota, but recently moved to a small town by Duluth. I LOVE the North Shore.

Stay in touch!! Dana Jablinske

Hi Dana.
Glad you responded. I had almost decided that the class of 81 wasn't around any where.

I saw Kathy Ohnstad Waldo and her family in Miles City this weekend. Too bad we didn't all run into each other. it would have been fun.

Anyone else from the class of 81 around? We would love to here from you.

Corinna: There are allot of people still in or around Miles City

Leah Jordan Miller, Laura Briedenbach Bennett got together for lunch. Had dinner with San Dee Walden Russell. Ran into Mikki Jo McFarland, plus several others.... Zelda Mayberry is in Glendive.

Where are you now? Sorry to hear about your father's passing.

We need to get more people involved in this forum so we can reunite with a few people. I see Chris Choate just signed up - Hopefully she will read this and get her class interested.

Take Care, Dana

I agree with you Kent about combining years for a reunion. I think I saw you at the Bucking Horse Sale. Or it could have been the street dance? I'm not sure. I went up to someone in the Texas Club and introduced myself as Chris Choate and he looked at me with a blank stare. Then I said something else to jog his memory and still not sure. Now I was feeling stupid and very forgettable when he said "Chrissy Choate"??? "You drove the Thunderbird right"? That's how he remembered me by my car. Kind of funny.

I read the note from Kent before and he said you were Scott..the Scott that I know? I wondered if you were. If so you are not forgettable either! Where are you living and what's new in your life? I'm here in hot sunny Phoenix with the a/c already blowing this morning and it's only 8:25 am. I would love to keep in touch with you. My email is [email protected]. I hope all is well with you. I do hope we can get all our friends together for a fun reunion because time passes by so fast. Write back

Chris
It wasn't that you talked to during the BHS. We didn't make it out that weekend. I would not remember you for your car, but all the fun we had at Munchies. Keep in touch and we will run into each other one of these days. Kent

Hey Kent,

Good Times. I hope you are doing well and look forward to seeing you again.

Hi Everyone!! Sorry I missed you at BHS - I was at a conference in Vegas.

We had a discussion a few years ago about combining several class reunions. We decided that we would do that AFTER the 30th in 2011. That way the classes behind us would have had their 20th or 25th...

So I guess we will go for an all 80's class renuion sometime after 2011. It's hard enough planning for our class and getting enough space for CCDHS and SHHS let alone 4,5 or more classes....

SCOTT?? HILLIER?? If so, how the heck are you? Haven't seen you in a few years

I will be in MC the last week in July - call me at Mom's if your in town.

Dana

OK I'm going to try this once again... my mouse slipped & I clicked on cancel!
Hi! WOW it doesn't seem like 25 yrs! I'm in PHX AZ & I LOVE IT - I prefer getting into a hot car w/ AC than bitter cold & snow & ice & ... etc. Chris we'll have to get together! Chauncie Parker Kutchera is in PHX too! By the way I think we ought to CRASH the 70's reunion! I still refer to MC as home. I haven't been back for BHS for 3 yrs. I was in MC for my grandmother's funeral in April - by the way Dana do remember the wood working class you took in 91' - We were at the Drake for a class reunion meeting & you said "there is an old woman in my class building her own coffin, I think her name is Clara... Clara Derenburger" and I said "thats my grandma!" everyone thought I was joking! Well she was buried in her coffin & Todd Stevenson was kind enough to store it for her for the last 10 years. I visit this site every so often mostly to check on housing $$ yup, lookin for that retirement summer home - but in no real hurry yet!

Another classmate has passed on:
sorry for the late posting... Dana

Diane Marisa Flower Fisher passed away in her sleep on August 14, 2007. Born April 5, 1963 in Madrid, Spain, she was adopted as an infant and lived in Spain for a year before returning to the U.S. with her family and spent most of her growing-up years in Miles City, Montana.

Diane graduated from Custer County High School in 1981 and then moved to Denver, Colorado, where she met and later married David Fisher. They have two sons: Brandon, 21; and Bryce, 15; who reside in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Diane loved craft-making, gardening, cooking-baking-canning, and her beloved pets. She enjoyed singing with her special friend of many years, Herron Nelson. She especially loved her boys and was so proud of them. Plagued by illness throughout her life, she spent her final years confined to a wheelchair while living in Spokane, Washington, hoping for the day she might walk again. We believe she is walking now, surrounded by loved ones who have gone on before her.

Diane is survived by her parents, Judson and Juanita Flower, long-time residents of Miles City now living in Billings; her sons Brandon and Bryce; her sister, Joan Rudd of Bellingham, Washington; and two brothers: Thomas, currently working and living with his family in Kuwait; and Benjamin of Snoqualmie, Washington. Diane will be buried in the family plot in Custer County Cemetery, Miles City, Montana.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the LDS Chapel, 825 Moorehead in Miles City. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com
