I know that this is in Glendive...but this is the first time the Shodair team has come to eastern Montana to present and Glendive is the only location. With expontentially growing numbers of people diagnosed with Autism nationwide, learning about autism can help businesses better understand customers (translating to more business and more profit), law enforcement better understand vulnerabilities and public safety issues, give families and teachers better tools for successful integration of students into the workplace, and individuals with autism or on the autism spectrum better life skills.
Autism: Causes and Management
A medical perspective presented by Shodair Children's Hospital Genetics Outreach Team.
Dr. John P. Johnson, M.D., F.A.A.P. and Katherine Berry, MS, C.G.C.
The Free Autism Seminar being offered in Glendive is at the invitation of the Parent Resource Center and the Local Advisory Committee on Mental Health. Shodair Children's Hospital team from Helena will address valid management options, parenting/discipline tips, and community stigma issues related to autism. Who Should Attend: This seminar is appropriate for consumers, parents, educators, medical providers, employers, Law enforcement/Corrections staff, and the general public who would like to learn more about autism.
