He had brain cancer? Guess that explains a few things.

Rest in peace, Mr. Novak.

I never could stand that man...He hurt a lot of people IMO...Glad to hear the "prince of darkness" bit the dust...

Wow, so much for that tolerance your side so often preaches and expects from others there Howdy.

I guess the old saying "Ne'er speak ill of the dead." has been replaced with "Castagate em before they're burried".

Sad.

She could have said worse, Kyle.

Mr. Novak was never considered by anyone to be the best humanity had to offer. The "Prince of Darkness" moniker was his own.

Perhaps Brian, but wishing somebody dead is a tad harsh coming from somebody who expects sympathy for medical misfortunes.

Like Rick once said, a person's death USED to be a time to set aside differences.

Kyle, if you would read up on him, he was quite proud of being the Prince of Darkness...to me, his being dead, means that he cannot hurt anyone else...

Well then say that Howdy.

Saying you're glad he "Bit the dust" makes you seem as cold-hearted as us conservatives

I make no excuses for my feelings about that guy...He was a disgusting human being IMO...I bet he would pay a great deal for an ice cold drink of water right now...

the "speaking ill of the dead" thing is phoney to me..always has been...if someone is as ass$$$$ in life, then I refuse to pretend otherwise when dead...

Kyle's learning how to play the injured party from his buddy Rickenhawk. Kyle's got some work to do, though...

I was going to title the thread, "Robert Novak - Takin' a Dirt Nap" but I thought that might be a little crass.

I was sorry to hear that Robert Novak passed away today.

I would have loved for him to live long enough to see Joseph Wilson's book about the Valerie Plame incident hit the best seller list.

Rather than the Prince of Darkness, Mr. Novak would see himself rightly cast as the Foolish Jester in Lord Voldemort's court* - and he would have to live with the masses he previously looked down upon finally looking way way down upon him.
* Also known as the Cheney Whitehouse (2001-06) and later as the Condi Whitehouse (2007-08)

But just as Kenneth Lay took the easy way out of being held accountable for his Enron sins, Mr. Novak exited the stage early as well. What a pity. A pure plain pity.
