Shows what I know. I do know I pushed several GB of data this month while uploading high-quality recordings (my own original material, which I have shamelessly plugged on this site) onto the various hosting pages where they live, but I probably wouldn't do that every month. There again, I don't think there's any cap on my data transfer (Range telephone).

Midrivers is advertising it can handle 2 HD movies per day per month, but without researching, I think you could watch more.

8MB down with 320GB cap is less expensive than my uncapped 3MB down.

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/304153/#304174</permaLink>

RE: Gigabytes?

That has to be for the house, not a phone. I would love to have a 300GB monthly limit on my phone! :D

An HD movie is about 1GB. A 1 hour TV show is about 1/3 GB. MilesCity.com serves up something like 50-100GB per month - to everyone combined.

As a normal user, it would be really hard to get past 300GB monthly usage, unless you stream Netflix 24-hours a day, or are sharing torrents through a VPN or some such thing - which can be, umm, a tad bit illegal.

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/304153/#304171</permaLink>

RE: computer help

Time Machine sounds awesome! Thanks!

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/303982/#304166</permaLink>

RE: Gigabytes?

Hmmm.... This is your transfer limit on a smart phone plan, right? There are roughly 1000 megabytes (MB) in a gigabyte (GB). Your average .mp3 music download is about 6 MEGAbytes. 6MB times 50 songs would take up about 300MB. Multiply that by 1000 and you have 300GB. So, you could transfer 50,000 .mp3 songs, more or less. Your average movie in uncompressed DVD format is probably about 4GB, so 150 movies per month. If you like to write, each character you type is a byte, so you could transfer your rather wordy 300,000,000,000 letter manuscript in that same 300GB. I think that's about right, but I haven't had to think about such things since the 1980's, before memory was inexpensive. I'm also too dumb (and poor) for a smartphone. Maybe someone smarter than I has a better answer?

Mark Hamilton was diagnosed with an agressive brain tumor in Feb. The family needs our help in their battle against cancer. This family has given so much time, energy, heart, and soul into helping this community and our country as RN's and Military Service members it is time we show strength as a community and help them out as much as we can. We will prevail and we will KICK CANCER'S BUTT! We are asking for donations of auction items, desserts, and even just a helping hand in maintaining this event. If you can help in anyway please contact me at 406-951-0805 (Kari) Thank You!

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/304164/</permaLink>

Gigabytes?

I am allowed 300 Gigabytes per month for my internet plan...I don't really know how much that is and wondered if someone could give me an example of how much in laymans terms that I might better understand ...thanks in advance...

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/304153/</permaLink>

RE: Bull riding clinics?

There may be some listed in Cowboy's Digest or The Wrangler publications.

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/304091/#304148</permaLink>

paintball meeting

june 8th at 7pm at airport inn. join us to get the scoop on our plans for this year this is a open meeting and everyone is welcome hope to see you all there

<permaLink>http://milescity.com/forums/posts/view/304146/</permaLink>

Outdoor Girl Sponsored by Girl Scouts of MC

Outdoor Girl

Not a drought buster but it was much needed.

I had several Clearfield wheat farmers in the area that decided last week to abandon the Beyond application and use 2,4D + dicamba instead with no grass control. They are probably regretting that decision. This rain will go along way to making a crop.

It will be interesting to see if the cool-season grasses respond to the moisture or if the rain was too late.

This past Thursday I drove from Hardin to Albuquerque. It was green most of the way down I-25 until Raton Pass. From there on south, it is extremely dry. Even the cactus was stressed and looking for the nearest cantina.

Here is an image of rainfall totals in the area:
Either way I say your argument is flawed although we share similar concerns with religious influences.
I'd be the first guy in the room to admit my argument may be flawed, but I yam who I yam. Perhaps you can help me think in an unflawed manner? :)
If you are not inclined to then why must all of you constantly question it. There is a god, there is no god. Who cares believe what you want and live and let live. I for one don't give a damn, liberal, conservative, atheist or other. Isn't that the point of a free country, believe in what you want.
Theoretically, but not really. In the last 50 years of foreign policy, (especially toward Israel), the positions of our country have been extensively influenced by Presidents and Congresses who believe in premillennialism and the rapture of the Christians during the tribulation. Again, this doctrine didn't exist prior to 1830. There are many groups who don't experience the freedom or acceptance they desire because of some government position based on a particular interpretation of the bible.

IMO, getting to the bottom of these issue, deciding we don't want to be ruled by theonomy and maintaining the wall of separation between church and state is fundamental to preserving our country.
The popular (old) definition of hell as a place of "fire" has been supplanted by a more up-to-date thought, that hell is simply the condition of not being in the presence of God.
This is doctrinal evolution. To whom did the omnipotent, omniscient, immutable God reveal this truth and when? How can God be omniscient and/or immutable and redefine what hell is? Seems to me that redefining hell to "more up-to-date thought" convincingly suggests that:

a. all that has been written about hell is a man-made concept and we are justified in dismissing its existence;

or/and

b. the God that "created" hell is not omniscient as has been taught through the last 1800 years of church history. The implications here are huge.

If someone has another logical approach to consider, I'd be interested.
So if you've heard about God and choose not to believe...well, good luck to you. I figure, if I believe and it turns out not to be true, I haven't lost a thing.
Heard about and believed which God? How can you say "good luck to you" and not define the deity of which you speak. On the other hand if you don't tell me about this God I won't be accountable to him/her. Seems like a lot of confusion to me.
Richard, the sisters who taught you did a good job. Wrestling with faith is an onus that is life long. I'll pray for you.
Those are scary thoughts. :D
