Steven Edward Alarcon

Steven Edward Alarcon, age 67, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother was born in Miles City on July 8, 1950, and passed peacefully on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, in Billings at Billings Clinic after battling a long illness. Steven grew up in Sidney, served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 28 years of faithful service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Renata Alarcon; and his brother Richard Hammer. He is survived by his present wife, Marlene Alarcon; daughters: Jennifer Paredes (Ramon), Julie Mitchell (Cornelius), Rosita O’Donnell (Kenneth), Rudy Furigay (Noemi) and Christina Temple; siblings: Suzanne McDonald, Jeffrey Alarcon, Ron Alarcon and Ron Hammer; grandchildren: Angelica Paredes, Araceli Paredes, Delonne Hamilton, Brayam Hernandez, Amber Hamilton, Mario Pacheco, Ty Wetch (Johnette) and Kati Wetch (Nick); great-grandchildren Andreas Wetch and Liam Wetch.

A vigil will be held at Cremation and Funeral Gallery, Monday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St Pius X Catholic Church, Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m. Inurnment after Mass will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
