Billings could see near-record warm temperatures on Saturday, the National Weather Service says.
The forecast is sunny and hot, with a high near 91 and south winds of 6 to 10 mph. Ninety-plus-degree temperatures are predicted for much of South Central Montana.
Other towns that could see near-record warmth, the NWS says, include Miles City, with a high predicted of 93 and Sheridan, Wyo., with a high of 87.
In Billings on Saturday night, skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around 53 and south southwest winds of 7 to 10 mph, becoming west after midnight.
On Sunday, look for a slight chance of showers between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Skies will be partly sunny, with a high near 76 and west winds of 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
