Henry Briant, known as Hank, left Otter and moved to the Stacey community to work for his father-in-law, Mr. Bidwell, who was running a sawmill there.
Hank and his wife, Alma bought the Alex Campbell homestead on Gaskill Creek in 1941. (Alex had run the Stacey Store). Later they added the old Bill Grady homestead. They worked the ranch until 1950 when they sold out to John Wegner.
Hank Briant now runs a well drilling outfit, and continues to work all over Powder River County.
His wife Alma died of multiple solerosis in 1957. They had 3 children. Jack married Geraldine Hogan and is now a truck driver out of Laurel. Joanne married Buster (Aldon) Cain, a Miles City policeman. Vivian married Buster Pierce and lives in Whitefish, Montana.
