The Glenn Miller Orchestra is scheduled to perform a concert at Custer County District High School on Monday, April 14, 2003, at 7:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased in advance at First Interstate Bank, the Miles City Area Chamber of Commerce, or Stockman Bank. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the night of the concert. (Sorry, the ticket price was not listed.)
The concert is a fund raiser for the CCDHS Varsity Jazz Band. The CCDHS Varsity Jazz Band will start the evening with a short performance. |

Bart, you're making me laugh. I wondered the same thing. I am familiar with the "Glenn Miller Orchestra" name but didn't know much about Glenn Miller. Apparently he died in a plane crash in December of 1944. I guess his plane took off in heavy fog from a Royal Air Force base in England enroute to Paris. The theory was his plane crashed into the English Channel probably due to icing on the wings.
