Family of four missing

A facebook post by Jane Freund indicates the family left Billings at 6:30 Thursday morning for Ekalaka and did not show up for a trip that takes 4 hours. I do not know if they took the Billings to Miles City route or Billings to Broadus segment.

As of 6:00 pm Friday, helicopters should be up and searching in another hour. The vehicle is a Blue 4Runner, license plate Idaho 2CSC737. Adults are Anthony and Chelsi Dean and their two young children.

At 8:30 pm a report that the search helicopters are flying over Miles City. This is the expected route. The helicopters probably started out from Ekalaka.

Search and Rescue have found the vehicle 6 miles east of Billings. The vehicle was in an accident and the two adults, unfortunately are deceased. The two young children have not been located yet as of around 1:30 am.

According to the above KULR link, at 9:50 am, (a few minutes ago) the mother of Anthony Dean has confirmed that all 4 are deceased.

There have been a couple of incorrect statements in the press. One incorrect statement was that the family was not heard from since Wednesday morning. In the next paragraph it said the family was not heard from since Thursday morning.

A TV station reported the accident happened at around 8 pm last night. Actually the accident site was "reported" around 8 pm last night on the accident that actually happened around 6 to 7 Thursday morning.

I'm still in shock at how horrible this accident was. What a tremendous loss.
