Decency Hits Rock Bottom at the White House

Just when you think the Trump Administration can't go any lower than its legal battle with a porn star, unfortunately, you find out it can, and has, in fact, gone lower -- this time lower than low!

The latest low involves a Trump aide mocking dying Senator John McCain when he said he opposes Gina Haspel's nomination as CIA director, because of her prior involvement in the agency's enhanced interrogation program.

Given that Senator John McCain endured years of torture in a North Vietnam prison when he was a POW, one would think his opinion on the matter of torture, also known as "enhanced interrogation" would be respected.

Here's what former Vice-President Joe Biden said about the comment:

"People have wondered when decency would hit rock bottom with this administration. It happened yesterday," Biden said in a statement. "Given this White House's trail of disrespect toward John and others, this staffer is not the exception to the rule; she is the epitome of it."

Don't worry. They can go lower than this. We just haven't found out about it yet.

I thought the White House hit bottom months ago but they keep digging down into the muck. Apparently, when you think, "Oh, my gawd, how low can they go?" they take that as a challenge.
