Putin's Troubling Speech Today

While our intelligence chiefs have been concerned about Russian meddling in the upcoming 2018 U.S. elections, and have said that President Trump has not given them an order to mitigate Russian interference, today Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a speech in Russia that has many U.S. military experts worried. Putin also unveiled new nuclear weaponry.

"Putin made clear that his declaration of Russian prowess was aimed squarely at the United States, which he accused of fomenting a new arms race by resisting arms-control negotiations, developing new missile-defense systems, and adopting a more aggressive posture in its nuclear strategy. In doing so, he said, the United States had failed to take seriously Russia’s strength. . . 'No one listened to us,' Putin said. 'Listen to us now.'. "

I wonder if Trump will now impose the sanctions against Russia which were recently passed by the U.S. House and Senate. So far, Trump has been reluctant to say anything against his friend, Vladimir Putin.
