If you have a better date than an entire year, I can look it up. Otherwise, I will just make a note and when I come across it, let you know.

Custer County Cemetery records list Albert O. Casey, born 1899, died 1917. He is buried in section B, lot 24. Specific death date is not listed, only year. Other Casey names who died about that time period are Berta - died 1916; Edward - died 1914; Fanny - died 1903; Maud Edith - died 1918. Also buried in Section B is Amelia Bertha Morrison, born 1889 and died 1907. Hope this helps.

I could not find any information about Muriel Dake Casey. How was she related to Albert? She was not listed in the 1910 Miles City household of WJ Casey (father of Albert).

"At about 10 a.m. while in the act of loading a dummy charge into the powder hoist of the right gun of the after turret of this vessel, the following man was caught between the ship's framing and the car in consequence of the car having been hoisted before a signal to do so had been given from the handling room." Born in 1899, Albert was 18 years old at the time of his death. Navy records DOB as Aug 25 1899.

What I can find regarding the Casey family:

John Casey (1814-1881) born and died in England. Married Fanny __?__ (1819-1903) She was born in Ireland and died 18 Dec 1903, in Miles City; buried Custer County Cemetery. Their family included:

William John Casey, Sr. (1854-1928) born in Richmond, Surrey, England; died in Ft. Eustis, Virginia, where his daughter, Bertha Preston was living at the time. He came to the United States in 1881. He had two children from unknown spouse:
--Charles Edward Casey (1883-1956) born at Ft. Assiniboine, Montana, and died 11 Nov 1956, at Miles City; buried Custer County Cemetery. Married Mary Carrie Peterson (1885-1955) in 1909. She was born in Denmark and died 26 Mar 1955, in Miles City; buried Custer County Cemetery. Their son, Edward Henry Casey (1910-1914) died 11 Mar 1914; buried Custer County Cemetery.
-Helen Frances Casey (1884-1961) born Fort Benton, Montana; died Multnomah, Oregon. Married Alfred Packer in 1902, in Miles City.
Bertha (Bartelt) Casey names both of these children in her will as raised by her, but never legally adopted.

William John Casey, Sr. married Bertha Ernestine Bartelt (1860-1916) on 23 Aug 1886, in Miles City. She was born in Germany and died 16 Jul 1916, in Miles City; buried Custer County Cemetery. Their family included:
--Caroline Frances Casey (1886-1964) born in Miles City; died in Roseburg, Oregon. Married (1) Frank Hinton, Jr. (1905); (2) Winfield Scott Stidham (1914).
--Amelia Bertha Casey (1889-1907) born in Miles City; died 8 Dec 1907 (Typhoid fever), in Miles City; buried Custer County Cemetery. Married Charles Carrol “Carl” Morrison (1907).
--William John Casey, Jr. (1892-1950) born in Miles City; died in St. Paul, Minnesota. He married (1) Muriel Edith Stephenson (1891-1918) in 1913, in Miles City. She was born in Wisconsin; died 22 Nov 1918, in Miles City; buried in Custer County Cemetery. He married (2) Annette Marquette (1895-1988) in 1920, in St. Paul.
--Bertha Anna Casey (1895-1974) born in Miles City; died in San Antonio, Texas. Married Cecil (1885-1971) in Miles City in 1914.
--Albert Charles Casey (1899-1917) born in Miles City; died 24 Jan 1917, off the coast of South Carolina aboard the USS Seattle. Buried in Custer County Cemetery.

Muriel Edith Stephenson, who married William John Casey, Jr., had an older sister, Alice Ann Stephenson, who married James Edward Dake. This is where the Dake name came from that got mixed into the stew.

I believe this covers all of the Caseys that are buried in the Custer County Cemetery. I have no connection to the family. Now Amorette has the full dates she needs.
