Anyone know the purpose of the little booth that was out on the corner of the building?

From the story,

"A hamburger stand was added west of the front entrance..."

Does that look like a hamburger stand? Seems pretty small.

Also from the story:

"Later they constructed the large white stucco building with pyramid points on each corner using railroad ties, boxcar siding and sawdust for insulation."

Holy smokes is it any wonder it burned down?

And:

"With the appeal of Probation the Leon Brothers applied for and received a beer license."

I struggle to understand the appeal of probation.

There was a rodeo grounds out back of the building as well as a small oval race track to I believe the west of the building. The dance floor was very nice as well.

Sigrid Laird had some stories to tell about it.

My father-in-law and mother-in-law (Jim and Faye Russiff) met at the Leon Park Club -- at least that's what I've been told. I wonder how many couples first met there.

My folks met at the Crossroads Inn.
