In the meantime, the rest of the world is moving on. Just two recent examples are: France will not have petrol or gasoline fueled vehicles after 2040, and Volvo will be making only electric vehicles starting in 2019.

Just a note on the above post. Personally my self I will still want at least a hybrid vehicle in Montana in the winter. Any car battery will not be very good at -30F. Should get you 1 mile or so with a full charge and cold battery on electric vehicle only. With the heat the last few days, maybe many miles more if it don't explode. We will need petrol as a way to improve electric and A/C & heater performance.

I agree with Earl. But it is still a sad commentary on Trump that even Putin and China can come to agreement with the rest of the planet, but Mr. Tiny Hands has to set a new course for the federal government. Thank the Lord that most of the states and cities are smarter than that dumb sumbeech.
