I see there is also a Miles City bank note for sale on ebay for 19,500$ (#270837945404) Many times sellers will ask an excessive amount for an item with no intention of selling, and only to let people know the item is out there, or for free advertising. Be interesting to know the real value.

A note just like this sold at auction in April of 2011 for $5,175.00.

The Grant's token is a fairly common and inexpensive collectible for the fan of Miles Citiana. There are some that are very, very pricy but they don't come up on eBay.

The Grant token may be better recognized as Grant's pool hall. Bet, some readers spent some of their mis-spent youth in there. The B.H.Grant was the earliest and used denominations from 5 cents to a dollar. The last was only Grants Miles City.

The latest Montana token catalog lists over 80 different Miles City business that issued tokens. Some, called mavericks do not have the town spelled out. Of interest, a few of these are from famed brothel madams.

Anyone seeking further interest, respond here and I may be able to help.

Ike: I bought a token on Ebay from Taylors Jersey Farm and the seller said it was from Glendive. Since I have a list of hundreds of dairies from Montana and the Taylor's Jersey Farm is not on my list, does your book list the Taylor's Jersey Farm as being from Glendive?

No listing for that token in the Glendive section. Doubt it is from Glendive.

Thanks Ike, if you have the Montana Milk Bottle book, I have found it is not all that accurate. I bought a milk bottle from the Sunny Crest Dairy in Baker and it is not listed in the book. This book also lists a Billings Creamer as being from Billings,MT, while it is actually from the Billings Dairy in Vermont. I have several other bottles that are not listed in the Montana Milk Bottle Book.
