My husband, Lee, passed away in March, 1967. He was born in Ekalaka March 8, 1906. His folks, Frank and Ida Castleberry, are early day settlers. His father came here on cattle drives from Texas and settled here. His mother came as a child with her folks, Jacob and Mary Speelmon.
My husband lived here all his life and was sheriff and worked on county roads. He was in the Army for two years during World War II.
I was born Nov. 30, 1907, at Tee Dee, Mont., to William and Bertha Fulton. Mother is a member of the Range Rider Reps and is living in Spokane. Father has passed on.
I attended elementary and high schools in Ismay, Western Montana College at Dillon and Black Hills State College, Spearfish, S. D. I received my degree there, I am an elementary teacher.
I married R. Lee Castleberry June 29, 1929, at Ekalaka, Mont. We have three children. R. L. Castleberry, Jr. who married Delores Wolf of Yakima, Wash. they live in Novato, Calif. Fulton married Betty Jo LaBree and they live in Ekalaka. Ken lives at Durant, Okla., and is a junior in college there.
